Ryan Reaves of the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights established a goal of producing his own line of beer at a local brewery to offer his fans and the people of Las Vegas. First, he needed a Las Vegas business attorney, a brewer’s license and a clean path through the complex regulatory approval process that goes with any alcohol-related business.
With his innovative recipes for craft beers, Reaves knew he had a winning formula on his hands. It was a matter of getting his product to market and receiving approval for a venue, which included navigating the City of Las Vegas Business Licensing Department as well as Nevada’s Department of Taxation.
After receiving the appropriate licensing from the City of Las Vegas to begin producing beer at the new brewing facility, at 1510 S. Main Street, Reaves gave credit to his attorney Tim O’Reilly of O’Reilly Law Group. Reaves’ 7Five Brewing Co. LLC and Able Baker Brewing LLC received the approval.
“This is a major milestone for 7Five,” Reaves said. “Tim O’Reilly and the O’Reilly Law Group team ensured this came off seamlessly. The name 7Five Brewing reflects my longtime uniform number, and I’m looking forward to making this company a long-term success in Las Vegas. Being able to produce our beers at a local brewery was of the utmost importance to us. We are committed to offering the best products for our supporters in Las Vegas.”
7Five will be brewing and offering to the public a variety of craft beers known as Training Day Golden Ale, Dawn Breaker Lager, Shiver Giver IPA, and Grim Reaver Imperial Stout. 7Five will produce its newly expanded product line at the Able Baker facility in Las Vegas.
“It was a memorable licensing process,” O’Reilly said. “This was one of those applications where you know you have a real winner on your hands for your client. Ryan truly is a talented craft beer maker in addition to being one of the most popular members of the Vegas Golden Knights.”
